The Namb Desert in Nambia offers a truly rewarding CSR team building experience in a wonderful and beautiful country where help given has a huge and lasting impact on remote, poor communities.
The Anixab community at Sorris-Sorris along the Ugab river bed in Damaraland are predominantly poor livestock farmers. In this vast area the children travel miles by foot to attend A.Gariseb Primary School that offers hostel facilities to accommodate up to 200 pupils.
The challenge for the group is the help with desperately needed repairs and renovations to the school to improve the childrens’ learning environment as they get little government assistance.
The project site is 1km walk from the teams’ campsite where they return each evening. The three day project begins after introductions with the school committee and local chief. During the three-day project the team will have the opportunity to mix with the locals and understand their culture and community.
