If you get annoyed by Christmas decorations
appearing in late summer it’s probably best
that you don’t organise your company’s
Christmas party – that can be a job for January.
Christmas is coming – yes, already. But don’t
worry, if you haven’t organised the Christmas
do yet, you aren’t alone. Late, yes. Alone,
no.
Marketers should also be approaching Christmas parties
in exactly the same way that they approach any incentive
programme, the party planners argue.
All the event organisers need to be “thinking
outside the Christmas box”. As Oliver Duval,
managing director of incentive event company Unmissable,
argues: “Christmas is the great party time of
the year, but it can be a let down when the same corporate
entertainment is rolled out every year – a meal
with everyone wearing silly hats followed by an 1980s
disco and at least one or two very drunk colleagues.”
