To advertise the launch of a new novel ‘The Good, The Bad and the Dumped’, The Little Brown Book Co wanted to run a competition on a social networking site. They came to Unmissable for inspiration and from the options we proposed they chose a glamorous break in Monte Carlo with helicopter transfers. Here’s what the lucky winners had to say about their trip:
Back in May I won a trip to Monte Carlo for three days with a friend - and having just come back I wanted to write and say a huge THANK YOU!! What an incredible trip it was! My friend Andrea and I had the most fantastic time, everything ran so smoothly. The hotel was amazing and so attentive, we had a lovely guy drive us to wherever we were going for dinner, another lovely guy bring us breakfast when we missed it by sleeping in, and some wonderful complimentary cocktails and snacks in their very classy bar. The helicopter ride… wow was that the experience of a lifetime! We managed to soak up the superyachts, Ferraris and high rollers while still looking cool, but really lost it when we got on the helicopter - giggling and squealing like girls! The other well-dressed passengers who clearly travelled by helicopter all the time were highly amused!
We managed to go down to the French Riviera for an afternoon in Villefranche, and to Italy for lunch in Ventimiglia, and also thoroughly explored the ridiculousness that is the two kilometres of Monaco - the highly questionable fashions (lilac polo and mustard slacks appeared to be this season’s look for men, particularly if unbuttoned to the waist), the absurd amounts of bling on belts and sunglasses, the defibrillators on every street corner in case of heart attack and the women with orange limbs and plastic faces. It was a great laugh, and an incredible experience, and we both had a fantastic time.
