Unmissable have this year been proud to sponsor “Whizz”, one of the fantastic elephant models taking part in the Elephant Charity’s London line up recently.
Elephant Parade London celebrated the beauty of the magnificent Asian elephant. With 260 painted elephants festooning the parks, squares and streets central London, it was the biggest and most beautiful outdoor art event the city has ever seen. The elephants were on the streets of London from May until the end of June, attracting an estimated audience of 25 million, and benefitting 17 conservation charities in the UK. The Elephant Parade auctions have now raised over £4 million!
Thank you London and all those who supported the campaign. Please continue your support and sign the petition to call on goverments for securing a viable future for the endangered Asian elephant. http://www.elephantfamily.org/how-can-you-help

As Joanna Lumley said at the start of the campaign …”All those who grew up with Colonel Hathi in the Jungle Book film, or those even older (like me) who remember him from the book of Mowgli by Kipling, must be shaken to know that without our help the magnificent Asian elephant may die out altogether. How dreadful to think that we may cause the extinction of this giant in our lives: and how fabulous to know that by supporting Elephant Parade and Elephant Family we can turn the tide and ensure their survival. Don’t leave it until it is too late: join me and a thousand thousand others, and give now. Remember: elephants never forget. Let’s make sure they will still be there to remember that we didn’t turn our backs on them.”
