Well it’s been a year in the making but finally our bride to be, Kate, stepped tentatively off the top shelf and gracefully into marital safety. The build up in the office has been immense, with the words ‘bridezilla’ banded about for the last 8 months and we’re now left feeling a little lacklustre. What do we talk about now, who do we tease now? The bride looked truly stunning and the event was executed and organised perfectly, though we’d have expected nothing less. Apart from the failing generator, which led guests from the dance floor to the rounders battle field (I managed to twist my ankle, it was a very serious game between the competitive bridemaids and the slightly squiffy guests), the day went without a hitch and the sun came out right on cue. Even Baby Eve made an appearance as you’ll see above, although at times it’s fair to say that she did look a little bored with the topics of conversation (Mr X, the serial prize winner is back again). And boy did she let us know it.
The Yorkshire countryside provided the perfect backdrop and as the bride and groom took off into the sunset in their classic XK Jaguar, we couldn’t help but feel a little green with envy, but glowing with pride. Our girl did good. Life just isn’t the same this week…
