So much going on in the world at the moment is reminding me of great destinations I’ve been lucky enough to have visited. Beautiful South Africa – the whale watching, the food, the wine, the wildlife, the stunning scenery, and that’s before there’s any sport on.
I can only imagine the soul searching and discussions going on in Italy today; Venice, Milan, Rome, Madesimo, Elba, Pisa, Naples, Messina, Florence, Chiesa, Bologna, Cagliari and so on. A reminder then too of the wealth of travel knowledge we have at Unmissable!
So as England prepare for THE match on Sunday against Germany ( Munich, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Hamburg etc etc), and Australia (Adelaide, Uluru, Kangaroo Island, Sydney, Blue Mountains) try and avoid a one-day cricket whitewash after yesterday in Cardiff (a great UK city break) …. let’s hope we can turn our attention to another set of destinations next week (Argentina, Mexico, even Spain?)
The G8 / G20 are meeting in Toronto – one of my favourite cities – fantastic variety, shopping, food, entertainment, sightseeing, Niagara an easy side-trip and easy to get out into the Canadian wilderness and National Parks too. Mixed emotions though about Deerhurst, wonderfully relaxing in some lovely countryside, but oh, it all comes full circle ….the painful memories of watching Mighty Leeds being knocked out of The Champions League – ok so it was a few years ago, but still top memories despite the football result.
COME ON ENGLAND, MY ENGLAND…. London, Cornwall, Kent, The Lakes, Leeds, Leeds, Leeds..
