I have to admit that I never thought Andrew and I would actually take this trip, but we did thankfully.
The the afternoon of the day before we were due to travel I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the snow for 4 hours. Long story but eventually got home at 7pm, had 1 hour to finish packing etc before we would have been totally snowed in and not able to go, and had to stay with family who live on the coast for the night. Somehow we got to the airport, only one lane was open on the motorway to Manchester, where our flights was delayed for 6 1/2 hours. I got us settleed in the executive lounge, as the airport was full of stranded passengers.
We eventually got there, and everything went like clockwork, we had a great time, the hotel was fabulous, absolutely out of this world. The parks were lovely, because of the time of year there were no queues for the rides. We loved Seaworld, and spent most evenings on City Walk at Universal Studios. The weather could have been a bit kinder, it only got above freezing on the day we were coming home. We had to buy hats, scarfs and gloves.
It was a great experience, a great adventure, Andrew even had his first tattoo done there.
