We’ve come across a few unusual places to stay in our time but this one really is quirky. Looking like something that’s come straight from a sci-fi movie, it can only be described as a futuristic egg shaped capsule & is situated in the beautiful Italian Alps. Sounds daft? Well I suppose it is really. With its shimmering glass coating, the capsule gives guests a 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape, without allowing nosey passersby to see inside. It looks like the perfect place to do a spot of star gazing. The pod is completely eco friendly having it’s own solar panels & wind turbine. It’s not open until 2010, so assuming it hasn’t rolled off downhill by then, we may get to check it out.
