In desperate search of some summer sun, the week before last I escaped from the Unmissable office & jetted off to northwest Mallorca. We based ourselves in Soller, nestled at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountain range & just a handy 30 minutes from Palma. Mallorca is gradually shaking off its egg & chips reputation & deservedly so, it is now a fantastic Mediterranean playground with loads to do.
A few examples are:-
• Dine on your own private beach arriving by luxury yacht
• Learn to sea kayak with the local champion before indulging in paella at a private olive grove
• Taking to the skies for a champagne hot air balloon flight over the countryside
• Wine tasting at one of Mallorca’s most stylish vineyards followed by dinner at the chef’s table
This is just a taste of what Mallorca can offer, from horse riding to helicopter flying, spas to sailing, climbing to cookery & fishing to fiestas – there is so much worth doing. Of course, if you want to laze on the beach & stuff yourself with ice cream & chilled beers like I did, you can do that too!
