From SW8 to Skye

Unmissable Life

Having just returned from a few blustery days investigating the Isle of Skye, Battersea seems noisier than ever. I’m missing the sheep, otters & mountain views, but comforted by the fact I can get a decent cup of coffee just round the corner.  We stayed at The Old Byre, a fantastic self catering cottage right at the tip of the Waternish peninsula which would work wonderfully as a remote, out of the rat race kind of prize for brands looking to link into good, clean living.

Although isolated, I’d done my research & made sure there was a pub within walking distance, after all, who would want to be sent anywhere without a pub?  The Stein Inn is not just any old pub, but the oldest on Skye.  Perfect for sitting by the fire whilst waiting for the storms to subside. Not only that, we can highly recommend the Lochbay Seafood restaurant just a few doors along serves some of the freshest fish you’ll ever taste & has an idyllic setting right on the water’s edge. From climbing  in the legendary Cuillin mountains to sampling whisky at a distillery, Skye has so much to offer the visitor & is a truly breathtaking place.  We’ll just be sure to pack a few waterproofs for the winners, you know, just in case…
